六岁开始跟随母亲(从事绘画)涂鸦，后由母托人刘开渠(原校长)進杭州艺专国画班(旁听生 10 岁因年龄不够)考试不计分，旁听生 4年，后回新登县、分水县读书，62 年蒋介石反攻大陆被征南京军区某部任指挥所无线报务员、炮兵群班长、排长、指挥所所长等职(并参加过越战抗美援越)。后响应周恩来总理号召浙、皖、苏三省对调，从部队赴安徽徽州(今黄山市)公安机关军事管制委员会工作，后被安徽省公安厅选送去高等学府沈阳警校读书、刑事现场绘画、文字鉴定、尸体检验等课程，后在黄山公安机关从事案件侦查工作干了二十三年，当过多年领导，期间拜范曾为师后又师从黄胄等，八十年代近末因老母年迈调桐庐不久离开检察机关，继续从事国画研究与艺术应为祖国而歌，为人民抒情，不能向钱看，不攀比、不生恨直于绘画至今，“从事弘扬中国传统的国画要耐得住寂寞、守得住贫寒……心中无我"这是一种无条件的从事……!再说∶人的一生，在整个人类历史的长河中，只是一个瞬间，作为一个从事书画艺术的人来说，总应该给后人留下一点什么而不是为了索取什么，应该毫无愧言地说∶吾生是为了画，而不是画为了生."……!"一个人，要以平常心态积极面对人生，只要自己不倒，他就永远不会倒。"

At the age of six, he began to follow his mother (engaged in painting)to doodle. Later, his mother entrusted Liu Kaiqu (former principal) toenter the traditional Chinese painting class of Hangzhou Art College (asan observer at the age of 10, there were no points in the exam).
