吴海舟，湖北黄梅人。原总参某部干部，大校军衔，军旅山水画家。现任全国书画艺术委员会副主席，中国书画院理事，国家一级美术师，人民大会堂首席艺术顾问，CCTV《艺术名家》栏目特聘艺术顾问，中国东方文化研究会国画艺术研究员，《收藏天下》全国数字电视频道学术顾问和特邀艺术家，中国大众文化学会名人书画艺术发展委员会委员，CCTV《决策中国》专家智库联盟副理事长，孔子美术馆客座教授，《中国书画名家》杂志社副社长。曾历任《中国长城书画院》常务副院长，《中国三峡画院》副院长，石家庄经济学院艺术系客座教授。中央电视台综合频道和北京电视台都曾对其做过专题介绍和报导。《人民日报》《解放军报》《北京晚报》《北京晨报》《美术》《美术博览》等几十家报刊也都对其做过报导。出版有《中国当代书画·吴海舟》集。

Wu Haizhou, a native of Huangmei, Hubei. Former cadre of a certain department of theGeneral Staff, with the rank of colonel, and amilitary landscape painter. He is currently the vicechairman of the National Calligraphy and PaintingArt Committee, the director of the ChineseAcademy of Painting and Calligraphy, the nationalfirst-class artist, the chief art consultant of theGreat Hall of the People, the special art consultant ofthe CCTV "Famous Artists" column, the Chinesepainting art researcher of the China Oriental Culture Research Association, the academic consultant and invited artist of the national digital TV channel of "Collecting the World", the member of the Celebrity Calligraphy and Painting ArtDevelopment Committee of the Chinese PopularCulture Society, the vice chairman of the CCTV"Decision China" Expert Think Tank Alliance, thevisiting professor of the Confucius Art Museum, andthe "Famous Chinese Calligrapher and Painter" VicePresident of the Magazine. He has served as theexecutive vice president of the China Great WallPainting and Calligraphy Academy, the vicepresident of the China Three Gorges PaintingAcademy, and the visiting professor of the ArtDepartment of Shijiazhuang University of Economics. CCTV Comprehensive Channel and Beijing TV haveboth introduced and reported on it.
